Interactive event offers students the opportunity to learn more

Students interested in advancing their careers and enrolling in a graduate study program at 香蕉福利直播 might want to mark their calendars.

The chance to interact with faculty, program coordinators, current students and alums during a one-of-a-kind opportunity will take place during the Fall 2023 Graduate Networking Social from 4:30-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, at the Student Center Atrium.

According to Director of Graduate Admissions and Diversity Initiatives Michael Hollenbaugh, this biannual event shows that graduate education is more than just taking coursework; it鈥檚 about finding a mentor, making connections, and learning from others studying alongside you.

鈥淭aking that first step to connect and dig deeper into how these degrees and people can help you achieve your goals is what this event is all about,鈥 he said. 鈥淲hether you want to become a lawyer, professor, mechanical engineer, or whatever else you want to do, our 150 programs can lead to finding your dream job or advancing in your current career, starting here at 香蕉福利直播.鈥

Often, half the battle can be determining which program to study, but as students look to pursue higher levels of education and become more specialized, one of the most imperative parts is aligning career goals with the graduate degree program. This event enables the opportunity to learn about not only what can be studied but also how a specific degree can help achieve those goals.

鈥淭his event allows students to learn about what graduate and teaching assistantships might be available in a student鈥檚 field of study and interact directly with those that award them,鈥 said Hollenbaugh. 鈥淪tudents can also connect with faculty members and industry professionals to help grow and strengthen their professional network.鈥

According to Hollenbaugh, students have consistently given positive feedback over the years and have indicated that not only did they have the opportunity to learn more about programs and interact, but they even said they had fun.

鈥淭his is not a traditional recruitment event, as we have food, drinks, and music, and it鈥檚 all free,鈥 he said. 鈥淩egardless of where your graduate education takes you, this event will help students gain a better understanding of the different degrees and career paths offered at 香蕉福利直播.鈥
