January 31, 2025 - LIFToff Celebration

The Beth E. Mooney Center for Transformative Leadership and the  hosted a LIFToff celebration on Friday, January 31 at Viking Public House to honor the 2025 of the LIFT program. Ï㽶¸£ÀûÖ±²¥ President Dr. Laura Bloomberg and Provost Dr. Nigamanth Sridhar were in attendance to congratulate and announce the fellows, as were deans and other university leaders, including Colette Hart of the Weston Ideation Lab and Shilpa Kedar of the Mooney Center. Attendees mingled over appetizers and engaged in a rocket-building activity designed to foster connection and illustrate the traits of transformative leaders. October 16, 2024 - Richard W. Pogue Leadership Conversation Series

The Beth E. Mooney Center for Transformative Leadership was proud to be a co-sponsor of the inaugural Richard W. Pogue Leadership Conversation, along with the P. Kelly Tompkins Leadership and Law Program at Ï㽶¸£ÀûÖ±²¥ College of Law. Moderated by Dean Lee Fisher, the first conversation in the series featured former U.S. Senator for Ohio Rob Portman.

In 2010, then Congressman Rob Portman and then Ohio Lt. Governor Lee Fisher were the respective Republican and Democratic candidates in a race for the U.S. Senate. Congressman Portman won the election, and Senator Portman and Dean Fisher will discuss that election campaign and the need for bipartisanship, civility and open and inclusive dialogue not only in American politics but in society at large.
